We hope to make the Gordon Community Garden a vibrant, cooperative space where members can grow their own vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
We have a dedicated group of volunteers who handle everything from day-to-day operations to organizing community events. Their passion and commitment are the driving force behind the success and growth of our garden.
Our garden will serve as a living classroom where visitors can learn about horticulture, sustainable practices, and the benefits of green spaces.
We established the organisation with the vision of creating a vibrant, green space for the community to come together and grow their own plants.
We aim to foster community spirit, promote sustainable living, and provide an educational resource for local schools and organizations.
Once fully established we intend to welcome community and educational organizations, including local schools, gardening clubs, and environmental groups.
The organisation was established in 2024 following the Kur-ring-gai Council decision to retain the site at 4 Pennant Ave Gordon for community use, and to support the development of a community garden as part of that use.
We would love to thank our local members Barbara Ward and Simon Lennon for their support in retaining this site as well as the support of Sam Ngai and the rest of Kur-ring-gai Council
We invite you to visit the future site, and see firsthand the positive impact community gardening can make
The future site is located at 4 Pennant Ave Gordon, the site of the old Gordon Bowling Club
